Queens Of The Stone Age have confirmed that Mark Lanegan will be singing on their forthcoming new album. 

The band took to Facebook to reveal the news, writing:
Lanegan came by. He didn't say much, but he sang good.
 
This means that the classic line-up of 'Songs For The Deaf' era Queens Of The Stone Age will be appearing on the record, as Dave Grohl will be drumming on the album and the band's former bassist Nick Oliverihas also been recording with the group again.

Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears has also seemingly revealed that he is working with the band on the new album after he Tweeted a picture of himself with the group online. 

He joins Nine Inch Nails main man Trent Reznor, who has been officially confirmed to appear on the follow-up to 2007’s 'Era Vulgaris', 

The band will be playing a number of festivals this summer, including Benicàssim in Spain, and Download in the UK.

Josh Homme lifts the lid on their recording process in the spoof interview with UK comedian Matt Berry, who has starred in shows including The Mighty Boosh, The IT Crowd and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.




퀸스 오브 더 스톤 에이지가 그들의 다가오는 새 앨범에는 마크 레인건이 싱어를 맡아주기로 했다고 말했다.


밴드는 페이스북 페이지를 통해 이번 소식을 전했다. 그들은,
"레인건이 다녀갔다. 그는 말은 많이 없었지만, 노래를 잘했다"고 글을 게시했다.

이 글은 퀸스 오브 더 스톤 에이지의 'Songs For The Deaf' 앨범의 라인 업이 다시 돌아온다는 것을 설명하는 것이다. 이번 앨범에도 데이브 그롤이 드럼 세션을 맡아주기로 했으며 밴드의 전 베이시스트인 닉 올리버리 또한 그룹과 함께 녹음에 참여할 예정이다.

시저 시스터스의 리더인 제이크 쉬어스는 그가 새 앨범을 위해 밴드와 함께 작업 중이라고 밝혔으며 그는 SNS를 통해 그와 밴드의 사진을 게시했다.

그는 2007년 'Era Vulgaris' 이후 앨범에 참여하겠다고 정식으로 밝힌 나인 인치 네일스의 리더인 트렌트 레즈노어와도 함께 합류하게 되었다.

밴드는 오는 여름 스페인에서 열리는 페스티벌과 UK의 다운로드 페스티벌에도 참여하게 된다.

지난 해 말, 퀸스 오브 더 스톤 에이지는 'Secrets of the Sound'라는 다큐멘터리 패러디 영상을 공개하기도 했다.
